Les presento mis links.

Entre que empiezo a hacer mis maletas y escribo el siguiente capítulo de mi camino a Madrid, les hablaré un poco de los links que he puesto a la derecha y continuaré añadiendo. 

Al armar esa lista me preguntaba si ustedes al pasearse por esas páginas y leer sus contenidos sentirían una sobrecarga de "religiosidad". Lo cual me dio risa y miedo al pensar que nuestra sociedad ha llegado al extremo de lo políticamente correcto. La idea que hablar de nuestra fé con orgullo y felicidad, se ha convertido en algo que tenemos que considerar si es hiriente a los sentimientos de alguien. Creo que sólo por eso, con más razón lo llené de esos links. Aunque pronto añadiré mis páginas de noticias, uno que otro documental, al igual que un Tumblr que retacaré de fotos.

Pero bueno a comenzar la lista:

Barbara Nicolosi:
Hace unos meses me reeviaron un mail que contenía la lista de las 100 novelas y obras de teatro más influyentes en la historia. Tenía una anotación previa que decía que la lista había sido hecha por una maestra de cine y guionista católica. Hojeé la lista y immediatamente pusé el nombre en buscador y encontré el blog Church of the Masses y links a diferentes artículos. 
Puesto que este último año he estado batallando internamente con mi musa y no he terminado un manuscrito que desde diciembre debí de haber estado revisando el producto final, he estado tomando algunos consejos de ella y con el favor de Dios podré inscribirme a su escuela de guionismo alguno de estos días.


Teresa Tomeo:
Una periodista que dejó los medios seculares y ahora escribe libros, tiene un programa de radio y también sale en EWTN con mi siguiente link. Al leer los resúmenes de cada uno de sus libros me dan ganas de hacer una lista de Amazon para Santa Claus.


The Catholic View For Women:
En esta página se pueden ver los episodios de una serie donde tres mujeres hablan sobre temas que conciernen a las mujeres desde el punto de la fé. A Teresa ya la mencioné, Janet Morana (co-fundadora de Silent No More) y Astrid Bennet Gutierrez (directora de Los Angeles Pregnancy Services) también son parte del panel.


Live Action Films:
En el 2008, un grupo de estudiantes de UCLA comenzaron el proyecto Mona Lisa. Este es una investigación a la franquicia de proveedores de abortos más grande en Estados Unidos. El primer proyecto estaba enfocado más que nada a cómo estas instituciones se hacen ciegos al posible abuso de menores, pero han abierto más proyectos con diferentes enfoques.

"El mundo no rechazará el aborto hasta que vea lo que es." Varios líderes del movimiento provida han dicho esa frase, incluyendo la Dra. Alveda King. Esta página contiene noticias, reportajes, opiniones y mucho más. ¿Recuerdan hace unos meses cuando Steven Tyler escribió de la experiencia que tuvo al ver el aborto de su novia? Pues aquí esta. Al igual que la historia de Julia Holcomb.

While I begin packing and finish writing the next chapter on my road to Madrid, I’ll introduce you to the links I’ve placed on the right, and might continue adding there.

When I was first creating this list I thought about one of you looking through these links and feeling a religion overload, which made me laugh and at the same time weary at the thought of our society coming to this political correctness extreme. That talking about our faith with a sense of pride and joy has become something we consider might be hurtful to someone’s feelings. So maybe because of that I filled it with more links. Soon I’ll add my newsites, maybe a documentary or two, and a Tumblr I’ll overflow with pictures.

So lets get started:


Barbara Nicolosi:
Couple months ago I was forwarded an email with an attached list of the 100 most influential novels and plays of all time. There was a small note at the end of the email that said the list had been compiled by Barbara Nicolosi, a Catholic screenwriter and film professor. I skimmed through the list and then looked her up and found both her blog and several articles by her.
This last year I have been struggling with writer’s block as well as procrastination and have yet to finish a manuscript I should’ve been proofreading and rewriting since December. I have been taking some of her advise and hopefully one day I’ll attend her screenwriting school.


Teresa Tomeo:
The story of a journalist leaving the secular media to pursue a career in the Catholic media alone is amazing. But she also has a radio show, has segments on EWTN, and writes books (all which are going on my christmas wishlist).  She also participates on a panel show, which is my next link.

The Catholic View For Women:
Episodes of this show are available on the website. Every episode is dedicated to a particular topic concerning women from a Catholic perspective. I have already mentioned Teresa as one of the panelists, also part of the panel are Janet Morana (co-founder of Silent No More) and Astrid Bennet Gutierrez (executive director of Los Angeles Pregnancy Services).

Live Action Films:
In 2008 a group of students from UCLA began the Mona Lisa project, an investigation into the largest abortion provider in the US. This first project was focused mainly on these institutions turning a blind eye on possible minor abuse. But since then many other projects have been opened.



Life News:
"The world will not reject abortion until it sees abortion." Those words have been spoken by various leaders of the prolife movement, including Dr. Alveda King. This website contains all sorts of local and wolrd news, research reports, op-eds, and lots more. Remember a few months ago when Steven Tyler talked about his experience with a girlfriend's abortion? Here's the link. As well as  Julia Holcomb's story.
