Mi Peregrinaje

"Eres un ángel." Así me dijeron dos señoras después de ayudarles.

Estos momentos me consuelan ahora que estoy viendo la misa de apertura  desde mi computadora. Tuve un turno nocturno anoche y aunque pensé tener toda la energía, la verdad es que hay veces que tenemos que descansar. Y se necesita descansar, ya que cuando se viene a servir no sólo es por uno, es para los que necesitarán de nosotros.

Mi historia del camino a Madrid tendrá que esperar puesto que han sido unos últimos quince días. Pero lo que puedo decir es que cada vez que uno cree saber todo lo que necesita saber, Dios nos mueve el piso para decirnos que no nos quedemos estancados. 

He conocido a las personas más generosas, más amorosas y hermosas; las cuales me han recibido con brazos abiertos. Aún cuando estamos frente a varias campañas violenta hacia la JMJ por distintos grupos, he tomado un poco de valor después de ver cómo estos voluntarios sonríen y se mantienen firmes sin nunca hablar una palabra ni responder de una manera física.

Poco a poco que vaya comprendiendo más estas experiencias que he tenido les iré contando de todo lo que me ha sucedido. Pero puedo decir que ahora quiero aprender Polaco y que si nosotros jóvenes del mundo queremos un ejemplo de fé no hay que ver más lejos que Polonia. Estos jóvenes que  sin ninguna dificultad siempre esta dispuestos a servir con una sonrisa y sin pedir nada a cambio. Al igual debo hablar de la increíble hospitalidad italiana de la cual estoy disfrutando al momento y de la que siempre estaré agradecida. 

Todo esto me ha abierto los ojos a cuanto más se puede dar, a cuanto más podemos hacer. A ponernos en manos de Nuestro Señor y convertirnos en instrumentos para hacer su voluntad. 

Para acabar les tengo que pedir un gran favor mis lectores. Agréguenme en sus peticiones. Sé que no tengo derecho a pedirles nada pero si tienen un huequito se los agradeceré. Han surgido unas situaciones que me esperan ahora que regresé. Aunque sé que la Mamá Virgen intercederá por mí, y que Nuestro Señor sólo me dará lo que Él sabe que puedo hacer, les pido que me añadan a su lista.

My Pilgrimage

"You're an angel," this I was told today by two ladies, while I was helping them out.

It's moments like these that cheer me up even as I am watching the opening mass from my computer even though I am relatively close by. 

I had a night shift that went into this morning, and though I thought I would still have energy to spare, the truth is that rest is more than needed. And it is neccesary because when one is here to serve it's not about us, it's about those who need our help.

As you have guessed, my story of the road to Madrid is on hold. It has been an extraordinary past fifteen days. What I can take from it at this point is that just when we think we have it figured out, God lightly sweeps the rug from under us, and everything we think we know is suddenly turned upside down.

I honestly say that I have met some of the most generous, beautiful and loving people who have just welcomed me with open arms since my arrival. Even now that we stand against a violent campaign against World Youth Day by various groups, I have taken courage from seeing these volunteers stand their ground with an sincere smile without ever responding verbally or physically to these attacks.


As I start to comprehend all these experiences I will start telling you more some amazing stories. But for now I can honestly say that I can't wait to learn Polish, wherever I might be able to do so. If anyone wants a role model in terms of faith, look no further than the people of Poland. These young people who are always so effortlessly ready to serve with a smile and expecting nothing in return. I might also interject and say how grateful I will always be of the Italian hospitality which I am currently enjoying.


All these experiences have been a huge wake-up call to how much more we can give, how much more we can do for others. How we should simply put ourselves in Our Lord's hands and become instruments of his will.


And before I finish, I must ask a great favor of you my readers. Please include me in your prayers. I know I have no right to ask anything from you, but if you have a small gap I will be ever thankful. Some situations have come up, and they will be waiting for me as I return next week. Though I have faith in our Lady and Mother to intercede on my behalf, and that Our Lord will only hand me what He knows I can handle and challenge, even so I ask to be in your prayers.
